M-STrIPES (Monitoring System for Tigers- Intensive Protection and Ecological Status) project is a collaborative initiative between the National Tiger Conservation Authority and the Wildlife Institute of India.
M-STrIPES is a holistic monitoring tool that brings together law enforcement issues & ecological aspects on the same platform. It plays a crucial role in wildlife policy issues and challenges by providing accurate and real-time evidence for the wildlife crimes, human disturbances, ecological status of biodiversity, and habitat parameters This dashboard provides a comprehensive information by synthesizing data regarding monitoring and analyzing patrolling efforts and encounter rates of major mammalian species at different spatial scale (Country, State, and Divisions).
